In reviewing this weeks WIMBA archive, I gained important insight from my fellow classmates that I myself do not have to struggle with in my professional career in the corporate environment, and that is how many of my EMDT classmates struggle to know if what they are using for their classroom instruction is in accordance with copyright laws or not. I have the luxury of legal council on site and I am required to get their approval on all training/instructional materials I create prior to use in order to know if what I have created is in accordance with all copyright laws, US and international as I work for a global company. After listening to the questions and reading the posts in the chat area, it really solidified my feelings that all teachers/instructors need to have a course on copyright law similar to what is offered to us as a part of this EMDT program or perhaps school districts should provide teachers with legal council as everyone struggles to know if what they are doing and using is right or if they are unintentionally breaking laws. I agree with Joe in that copyright laws are not black and white, they are definitely grey.
Wish you could have been there, but great summary of the session.
